Who Are Taxpayers?
Taxpayers Are:
- The most important people ever in this office, either in person or otherwise.
- Not dependent on us. We are dependent on them.
- Not an interruption of our work; but the purpose of it. We are not doing them a favor by serving them.
- Not outsiders to our governmental process; they are part of it.
- Not cold statistics or names on a filing card or in a computer terminal. They are human beings, with feelings and emotions just like our own.
Taxpayers Are:
- People who bring us their individual concerns
- It is our job to respond to those concerns effectively and efficiently.
