Each year since 2000, the Erie County Solid Waste District has conducted a local Computer Roundup for computers and computer-related equipment. All collected material is either refurbished and donated or disassembled and recycled. Check the Calendar of Waste Reduction Program Events or call the Solid Waste District at 419-433-7303 to see when the next Computer Roundup is planned for Erie County.
Several computer manufacturers accept computer equipment for recycling or trade-in at a nominal cost. Check the following web sites:
