Erie County Administrator
Michael J. Bixler has served Erie County for thirty years. Upon graduation from Malone College, he began his career with the County as Finance Director and has served as Erie County’s Administrator for the past twenty years. He earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Ashland University.
The County Administrator is the administrative head of the County under the direction and supervision of the Board of Commissioners. He assists in the administration, enforcement and execution of Board policies and resolutions and provides overall direction to department heads and management under the Board’s jurisdiction.
